As women, we go through different stages in life that shape who we are. Menopause is one of those stages—it can feel overwhelming at times, but it’s also a time when we can really take charge of our health.
Menopause isn’t a single moment in time—it’s a journey of changes in our body. You might be familiar with the hot flashes and sleepless nights, but did you know menopause can also affect your muscles, joints, and pelvic floor?
Many women experience stiffness, aches, and feel like they’re losing flexibility. But the good news is, we don’t have to just accept that. Movement can be one of the best ways to feel better during menopause.
That’s where Pilates comes in. It’s special because it helps you stay strong, mobile, and balanced—not just physically, but mentally too.
I’ve worked with so many women who’ve found relief from symptoms like pelvic discomfort and lower back pain through Pilates. By strengthening the core and pelvic floor, we create stability that can really help ease the changes brought by menopause.
It’s not just about getting stronger, though. With mindful movement, you can release tension in tight areas like the hips and shoulders, improve your posture, and feel more connected to your body. When you tune into what your body needs, the shifts that come with menopause can feel more manageable.
If your body feels “different” right now, that’s totally normal. But don’t feel like you have to live with discomfort. With the right exercises, you can feel more energized, balanced, and even regain your confidence.
As part of celebrating World Menopause Awareness Day, I’m sharing a special class taken from the Core Fit Club Library, that focuses on mindfulness when moving, when can really support you during menopause. You’ll have s access this class until 20th October. Be sure to let me know how you like this class.
World Menopause Awareness Day is about more than just raising awareness—it’s about celebrating the strength and resilience of women during midlife. It’s a call to action for women to own their transition, take charge of their health, and support one another in the process.
Let’s use this World Menopause Awareness Day to embrace where we are right now and celebrate the strength we can build. And remember, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to help you every step of the way.
Reach out if you need support in your physical and mental practice.
Lots of love
