It’s ok to not be ok

It’s ok to not be ok, but it’s not ok to stay that way.

We all have times when we don’t feel ok.

When we feel anxious, sad, scared, worried, fearful, lonely just not ourselves or off kilter.

It’s different for us all at times, but the point is some of those feelings, do come up now and then.

In those times we have usually lost connection to our true self, our source, our true nature. We are born happy, joyful, without worry or concern. It’s when we are taken away from this that the other feelings arise.

I always speak about being positive, and it is really important for us to be as positive as much as possible, so we can feel good.

Ultimately we all want to feel good.

However we’re all perfectly imperfect, and there are going to be times when we’re not ok.

It can be because of many things, especially during these times of Covid. So much is out of our control, we are faced with so many changes, uncertainties, loss and or decisions to make that would not normally be. Life is not as it used to be and we have to adapt and accept it.

There are still moments where we’re unable to be our positive self and that’s ok.

We need to feel into all feelings, acknowledge them, recognize it, and then take steps to remedy them if they are not positives ones.

It’s not great for us to stay in those moments too long. They are there to serve us, teach us, show us what we need to do and to learn from them.

It’s then we must make changes, it could be to seek help, to change your routine, to add things to your routine, to notice what maybe contributing to how you feel.

You may or may not have seen my posts on social media lately, where I shared I’ve had some ups and downs lately. I won’t go into the details now, but there were some positives that came out of my moments of being off center, and I wanted to share them with you, in case you missed them…

To keep good mental health, many things are necessary…and can effect us if we’re not practicing them…

It’s more challenging these days with the world situation, however those things that stop me feeling my best are :

🔹when I’m tired and lacking sleep

🔹when I’m hormonal.

🔹when I take on too much and over do things

🔹when I’m not exercising enough

🔹 when my diet isn’t as healthy – eating more sugar and processed foods

🔹 when I’m not feeding my mind enough with good positive things, from podcasts or books etc

🔹when I’m not taking time for me and practicing self care

🔹when I don’t keep up a regular meditation / Pilates/ yoga or relaxation techniques of some kind

🔹when I’m not in touch with good friends and family to express myself

🔹When I watch too much news or read too many negative things

🔹 when I’m forgetting to laugh or play in life

🔹when I’m forgetting to be grateful
