Trusting yourself

Do you really trust yourself?

How often do you listen to your intuition and your inner guide?

You know we all have this ability to really know what is right for ourselves, what is our true and best path.

Many of us don’t even recognise the messages we get, or if we do notice them, many of us don’t listen to these messages, we ignore them.

Our body is talking to us all the time. We all have a gut instinct and inner knowing and usually this is the best guide for us in our life.

Often we are too busy in our heads to either hear the messages we are getting from our body, or we ignore them and we start to listen to our mind, our thinking mind. When we start to bring our conscious mind into our decisions, we often are relating a situation to a past experience or a potential future fear, or we are not even using our own experiences, maybe some else’s. When we start brining in our conscious thinking mind we sometimes sometimes override what our real power lies, our real connected decision making, the unconscious deep knowing, which is not judgemental, or fearful, it is what we call the working mind.

For years I actually didn’t trust my own intuition. I didn’t believe in myself. I would sometimes override my intuition with my mind and try to create a path that sometimes wasn’t what my body was even asking for. It’s in these moments when we make decisions, our life takes a certain path. It’s always the path we need to take, because I believe all paths are predetermined for us. However if you really listened to your inner guide, do you think you would have sometimes taken a different path?

These are the moments we can sometimes look back on and we say oh yes. I see clearly now. I had the messages and I didn’t listen! Or I realised and I still did this or that. Have you had those experiences?

Sometimes we have to learn, what some may call, the hard way. I certainly have learn this way many times.  🙂

I doubted myself and I went against my body and it’s needs and messages for many years. We do this when we are not sure of ourselves and lack confidence.

It wasn’t until I started to really know myself, and feel good in myself, that I started to listen more to those messages. I realised that those messages were there to guide me in a positive way in my journey in life.

We can relate this to all facets of our life. Decision making, in all areas, exercise, what to eat, choosing a partner, everything in fact.  Innate intelligence lies within us all.

I invite you to start listening to your body and intuition more this month. Start tuning into what your body is asking for. What does it need at any given time.

You can use this to choose your exercises, what class to do, what day to take a rest. Really tune in.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic, either below and or in the Facebook group.

Let me know your own experiences in this area.

You know it’s not until we trust ourselves, that we can truly be the best version of ourselves.

Lots of love

If it looks right but feels wrong it’s FEAR. If it looks wrong but feels right it’s INTUITION.
