Celebrate your achievements
I often talk about habits and goal setting as a new year begins.
However I wanted to start off this year by firstly focusing on how far you’ve come in the year just passed.
Taking the time to celebrate your achievements and wins is really important before you begin to set new habits and goals.
If we always focus on moving forward and don’t stop to recognize how far we’ve come we tend to miss out on what’s important. We can easily forget why we’re even doing what we’re doing.
If we don’t stop to take note of the positives we have achieved, we can continue to chase something that’s not attainable, because it’s always moving. We tend to just want the next thing and the next thing.
Once we stop to take note of how far we’ve come and the positives, we notice we can be happier with ourselves, we can be grateful for what is, what we have and or what we have achieved.
When we’re happy in ourselves and grateful, we start from a better place to set new goals and intentions.
We’re not operating from a place of lack, negativity or dissatisfaction, we’re coming from a place of abundance and positivity.
Remembering only to ever compare yourself to yourself, never to anyone else. We are all on a different journey, so no ones path is the same.
So go ahead, take note of your achievements from this year. It can be Pilates, exercise related, or feel free to do this exercise for anything in your life.
Today we will look at your Pilates, Yoga & Barre practice..
- Did you improve on certain exercises? Like the roll up, the rollover ?
- Did your flexibility improve?
- Did you relieve pain?
- Did you feel better in your yourself, in your mind and body, from moving
- Did you do more classes than you expected?
If you did less than you expected or planned, don’t worry, there’s always tomorrow, every day is a new beginning
It’s good to recognise your starting point when moving into the new year, so you can set realistic and achievable goals.
Doing this from a place of being grateful for whatever your situation is, is a great start.
Celebrating your wins, big or small, in anyway you like, is really a great way to feel positive.
To celebrate you can treat yourself to a massage, a dinner out, a catch up with friends, a weekend away, a night in binging on netflix, whatever is your way of celebrating.
Try recognising and celebrating your achievements and let me know how you feel.

Lots of love
