Emma Jory

Emma Jory is a certified Pilates, Yoga & Barre Instructor with more than 13 years teaching exepreince. She is a certified Health Coach and founded Emergy Pilates Studio, Sydney. 

Emma was the first instructor to teach Barre in Australia and was a teacher trainer for the method. She sold her studio to move to Malaysia, where she is now based with her husband.

Sophia Oh

Sophia Oh is a certified Pilates and yoga Instructor with more than 13 years of teaching in various cities around the world such as Kuala Lumpur, Oxford, Sydney and Singapore. 

She is currently based in Ubud with her family. She has been returning to the mystical island since her yoga teacher training days back in 2002. 

I went for this retreat with expectations – to have fun, to be guided by great instructors, to hang out with like-minded people and to be spoilt by the magic of Ubud, Bali.

I emerged with all of that and more importantly, a stronger realisation of what I am capable of creating within myself and with the environment and community. The thoughtfully put together programme and the sheer generosity, love and support of both Sophia and Emma made everything effortless.

Who is this retreat for?

This is a wellness retreat aimed for adults, both men and women who would like to learn more about ways to enhance their quality of life using movement, meditation and nutrition.

What can I expect from the retreat?

We aim to create a program which has a nice balance of group activities and free time to relax and enjoy Ubud.
By the end of the retreat you will feel stronger,more supple and rejuvenated!

What is included in the package?
  • 4 nights accommodation at Honeymoon Guesthouse in Ubud
  • All meals are included starting from 18th Nov, consisting of 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners.
  • Activities and transport transfers listed on itinerary

Do I need to have prior Pilates or yoga experience?

All levels are welcomed, from total beginners to advanced practitioners.
However we highly recommend having prior Pilates reformer experience, in order to get the most out of your retreat.
Additional private sessions could be arranged with either Emma or Sophia prior to the retreat or if there is time during the retreat in between the set schedule.

What is the food like at the retreat?

You will dine on mostly fresh, organic  plant based meals with meat dishes to satisfy the non vegetarian crowd.
The quality and variety of Balinese fresh produce is exceptional, thanks to its rich, fertile volcanic soil. Your tastebud will be delighted!
Please let us know as soon as you sign up for the trip or before you sign up if you have any special needs; food allergies or other allergies, or any other special needs or conditions, dietary or medical.

What can I do during the allocated free time?

The guesthouse has a beautiful topical lush style pool for you to have a swim and chill. You can also indulge in the abundant variety of massages and  facials treatments offered in house.
You can easily nip out to town for a bit exploration as the centre of Ubud is only few minutes walk from the guesthouse.

When should I book my flight?

We will start the course on 18th Nov(Saturday) early morning at 7am so please book your flight to arrive Denpasar Bali(DPS) on 17th Nov(Friday). You can check in anytime on Friday but please note that the room will only be ready by 2pm.
We will bid farewell after lunch on 21st Nov(Tue) around 1pm. If you are planning to leave Bali on the same day please try to book your flight departing Denpasar airport 5.30pm or later.

Can I share a room with someone if I am travelling alone?

Yes we will try our best to match you with another solo participant when possible. If not you will need to take up the single supplement.
Please note that we have a certain number of twin and double sharing rooms which will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Free visa for majority of countries except Libya, a valid passport is required for stay of up to 30 days.

How do I get to Accommodation from the airport?

You can either book a taxi directly from the airport or arrange beforehand for a driver to pick you. We can help with providing drivers’ contact. The journey is around 60-90 minutes, subject to traffic conditions.

How do I pay and register?

We will send you Bank Account details for you to make your transfer. (details will be provided to you upon us receiving your interest by email). 
You will also complete a registration form, this will be sent to you with payment details.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the retreat start date, 50% of the retreat price will be forfeited. If cancellation is made less than 30 days before the retreat start date then 100% of the retreat price will be forfeited.
We highly recommend you purchase your own travel insurance.
