Hi I’m Emma, I love to create a supportive space where women of all ages can reconnect with themselves and feel empowered to reach their full potential in life. I help them do this through Pilates, Yoga, meditation, mindfulness and Health coaching techniques.

I’m an internationally certified Pilates, Yoga & Barre Instructor with more than 17 years teaching experience and I love sharing my knowledge of the body with my clients.

I founded Emergy Pilates Lounge and was the first instructor to teach Barre in Australia in my studio, and I was also a teacher trainer for the method. I sold my studio to move to Malaysia, where I’m now based with my husband.

Was super impressed by how Emma made everybody feel so valued and looked after. It was not only about the yoga and Pilates sessions – but about providing a holistic experience where body, mind and soul could explore new thoughts, tastes and adventures.

It is clear that Emma has a profound knowledge within yoga, pilates and meditation and I felt in complete safe hands. She was on the ball with booking taxies, treatments and knowing and answering to all individual needs. It’s all in the detail. And then she is one of the most kind and compassionate people with a good giggle that just puts everyone at ease.

I came back a better person and look forward to being more disciplined with my eating, exercising and thinking patterns.

I went for this retreat with expectations – to have fun, to be guided by great instructors, to hang out with like-minded people and to be spoilt by the magic of Ubud, Bali.

I emerged with all of that and more importantly, a stronger realisation of what I am capable of creating within myself and with the environment and community. The thoughtfully put together programme and the sheer generosity, love and support of both Sophia and Emma made everything effortless.

I spent a wonderful 4 days of Yoga, Pilates & meditation retreat in Ubud, Bali Oct 2017.

The programme was well run & organised by the 2 superb instructors Emma & Sophia. The yoga & meditation retreat with a great location contributed the tranquility with a blend of uplifting spirituality & peace.

I highly recommend even if you have no experience of yoga & meditation as the instructors are very engaging. The outdoor adventures are breathtaking. Wonderful opportunities to see the countryside & villages & the food was simply amazing.

You are guaranteed to come back feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, energised & fulfilled!

The Mind Body Transformation Retreat with Emma & Sophia was amazing!

I was very excited to go and didn’t know exactly what to expect, but it was better than I could imagine. The greatest aspect for me was the meditation. Although I had dabbled in it several years ago, this time I connected with the practice. It was much easier and quite relaxing.

The location in Ubud was so peaceful and easy to unwind, relax, and get away from “everyday life”.

Emma & Sophia are wonderful instructors and friends. Calming, helpful, and kind is the best way to describe them. They are a perfect balance, with each bringing a bit different version of teaching. They went beyond the norm to make this an unforgettable retreat. Setting up 2 amazing dinners, with views and exquisite cuisine. Guiding us on a sunrise walk. You can tell they love what they do!

It was a bonus that we had a fantastic group of ladies, young and old(er), from various countries, but coming together for a common purpose.

I would highly recommend this retreat to anyone who has the slightest interest in meditation, yoga or pilates. There’s something for everyone.

Before going to retreat, personally I couldn’t focus on one thing. As I took the classes and time with other people, I felt recovered.

I think this retreat was quite well balanced between rest and retreat activity, also Physical activity (morning trekking and classes) and meditation were balanced well.

I really enjoyed the time in the Ubud.

I had always wanted to go on a retreat but didn’t know what to expect.
 
I thought they were supposed to be packed with practice. But I found Emma and Sophia had managed a very nice balance of yoga, Pilates and meditation topped with a great session on raw food, health talks, a beautiful walk and thoughtful answers to all of my questions. Top that with an amazing location and food, and it was an experience I would repeat without hesitation! Emma and Sophie are full of knowledge and passion, it was a real privilege having them host the retreat.

Who is this retreat for?

This is a wellness retreat aimed for adults, both men and women who would like to learn more about ways to enhance their quality of life using movement, meditation and nutrition.

 

What can I expect from the retreat?

We aim to create a program which has a nice balance of group activities and free time to relax and enjoy Ubud.
By the end of the retreat you will feel stronger,more supple and rejuvenated!

 

What is included in the package?
  • 4 nights accommodation at 3* Guesthouse in Ubud
  • All meals are included starting from Saturday morning breakfast, consisting of 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 3 dinners.
  • Activities and transport transfers listed on itinerary

 

Do I need to have prior Pilates or yoga experience?

All levels are welcomed, from total beginners to advanced practitioners.
However we highly recommend having prior Pilates reformer experience, in order to get the most out of your retreat.
Additional private sessions could be arranged with either Emma prior to the retreat.

What is the food like at the retreat?

You will dine on mostly fresh, organic  plant based meals with meat dishes to satisfy the non vegetarian crowd.
The quality and variety of Balinese fresh produce is exceptional, thanks to its rich, fertile volcanic soil. Your tastebud will be delighted!
Please let us know as soon as you sign up for the trip or before you sign up if you have any special needs; food allergies or other allergies, or any other special needs or conditions, dietary or medical.

What can I do during the allocated free time?

The guesthouse has a beautiful topical lush style pool for you to have a swim and chill. You can also indulge in the abundant variety of massages and  facials treatments offered in house or off site.
You can easily nip out to town for a bit exploration as the centre of Ubud is only few minutes walk from the guesthouse.

 

When should I book my flight?

We will start the retreat on (Saturday) early morning at 7am so please book your flight to arrive Denpasar Bali(DPS) on Friday. You can check in anytime on Friday but please note that the room will only be ready by 2pm.
We will bid farewell after lunch on Tuesday around 1pm. If you are planning to leave Bali on the same day please try to book your flight departing Denpasar airport 5.30pm or later.

 

Can I share a room with someone if I am travelling alone?

Yes we will try our best to match you with another solo participant when possible. If not you will need to take up the single supplement.
Please note that we have a certain number of twin and double sharing rooms which will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Do I need a visa for Bali?

Free visa for majority of countries except Libya, a valid passport is required for stay of up to 30 days.

How do I get to Accommodation from the airport?

You can either book a taxi directly from the airport or arrange beforehand for a driver to pick you. We can help with providing drivers’ contact. The journey is around 60-90 minutes, subject to traffic conditions.

How do I pay and register?

We will send you Bank Account details for you to make your transfer. (details will be provided to you upon us receiving your interest by email). 
You will also complete a registration form, this will be sent to you with payment details.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the retreat start date, 50% of the retreat price will be forfeited. If cancellation is made less than 30 days before the retreat start date then 100% of the retreat price will be forfeited.
We highly recommend you purchase your own travel insurance.
