I have had back surgery am going to need knee replacements this program has helped me mitigate the pain and improved my strength and flexibility. Allowing me to do the thing I want to do like hiking 5 k everyday in the forest with my Bernese Mountain Dog, Odi, and playing with my amazing grandbabies.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
I love the challenges they keep me engaged.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
This is kind of like picking a favorite child, but if I had to pick I’d say Pilates.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
I’d have to say a facial its amazing how much stress we hold in our face. I try to make the time for one every 3 months.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
My dog Odi, when I feel like bailing on a walk in the woods he looks at me with such sad eyes. I always feel so much better after and wonder why I hesitated to go.
I do best if I schedule exercise like I would a work meeting and if I do it with a friend even better, because if I just say sometime today it generally doesn’t happen.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love the lake, we have 10,000 lakes in my province and I am 20 min from the closest one. Coffee in the morning on a kayak listening to the loons call or sitting on a beach watching the sunset are magical moments.
What is your favourite food?
Are coffee or wine a food?? No, Ok I would say fresh caught pickerel cooked over an open fire with foil potatoes and a nice chilled Sauvignon Blanc.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
It took me a long time to realize that taking care of myself was as important as taking care of everyone around me. As a busy healthcare worker and mom I channelled all my energy into my family house and job. I wish I had figured it out earlier but that’s the way life works, now I try to help my grown kids by taking some of that stress off of them.

How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
Helps me have the strength and energy to perform my job and helps manage my chronic pain.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I love the variety and the content of the classes, having it online provides me the option to do it when it works for me. Emma is so easy to follow and being part of a member group that is so encouraging is a bonus.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Better balance, clothes fit better
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
My favorite workout is Intermediate mat with hand weights, even though I drop the weights due to rotator cuff injuries halfway through
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
My favorite Pilates move is full roll up and leg circles, they make me feel strong
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Honestly, Pilates. If I don’t do some workout however small every day I don’t feel right!
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
My motivation is I want to live as long as possible. I have several auto immune diseases which have changed how I workout. I have a lung disease and vascular issues. I’ve also had a stroke and several heart attacks. My best tip is never give up, and do something you love every day. Besides my daily Pilates routine, I turn off the news and turn on music I love and dance around.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love the feeling of being with and in nature. Any time I’m in the woods or in my garden with my flowers is a good time. For travel I’d have to say Italy, great people, food and wine, but the history is what really inspires me.
What is your favourite food?
This is a tough one as my favorite is bread of any sort. I almost never eat it anymore as I know I will go overboard! My favorite healthy food is a plain Caesar salad with chicken. Oh and Gelato, but only in Italy!
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Another tough one! Don’t make promises because you never know what will happen. It’s never too late to change your view of yourself! I was always told I wasn’t athletic, or artistic. I became an LPN (Licensed practical nurse) and was valedictorian of my class at age 48, RN (Registered Nurse) at age 55 and started Pilates and watercolor painting at age 60. I am finally becoming the person I always wanted to be. My best lesson is don’t wait to do that, do it now! Even if it’s small steps never lose sight of what you want for yourself!

“If you think you can, or think you can’t…you’re right!”
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
I feel more balanced, mentally and physically. I am also stronger and not in huge ways. I can do my daily chores with ease, shopping, cleaning, walking, getting things on and off high shelves. It might not sound like much, but staying active and independent as we age is everything. My goals at age 66 are going to be different than someone who is 33. But we all benefit in our own ways.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I love that my schedule can be flexible and I can do the workouts at home. Covid made us all rethink how we interact with the world, and this way of working out is great for me! It removed the excuse of ‘I can’t get to the gym’.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
I’ve been able to keep Pilates a consistent practice in my fitness regime as wherever I am, I can find a good video
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
My favourites are the Runners Pilates and the back, legs and glutes in Wooloomooloo Bay. I also love the ones set in Bangkok hotels as I lived there for a while.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
I love cat-cow. And any move that involves back mobility.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Walking whilst listening to Woman’s Hour on BBC Sounds
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
My best motivation for staying fit and healthy is how much having a healthy body keeps my busy, anxious mind at peace. And also seeing how fit and healthy my mum is at 72 – motivates me to gently keep my body active every day.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love Koh Phangnan in Thailand, Kefalonia in Greece and Sanur in Bali.
What is your favourite food?
Avocado on Sourdough topped with a Poached Egg and Sundried Tomatoes and Rocket. I also love a fresh coconut on a beach.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
I think I’m still learning about life so not sure I have any wisdom to impart here.

You’re stronger than you think you are.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
I love Pilates because it keeps my fragile back and neck in balance. Strengthening my core supports my overall physical health and enables me to keep walking, running and working well.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I can take ePilates with me wherever I go. I’m a bit more static these days but a couple of years ago, I was roaming around South East Asia and always able to roll out a mat and get a workout done first thing.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
After an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon to access my sore knees, he told me that my spine was stiff and I needed to do stretching exercises each day. I was doing the ones he suggested when I saw an add for ePilates Online. Decided I would try this and here I am after the 1st 6months free of pain in my knees.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
I love most the overball challenges but I like to try and complete the monthly calendar if I can. Can do the roll up but not the roll over. I know my limits buy having said that I have lately been completely more intermediate moves with success.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
I like most of them but mainly any ones that are for abs or butt.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
I try to do a Pilates class each day after my 5k walk. Being kind to myself.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
I have always been fairly active and have done Pilates for years but not as consistent as the last year. I want to feel great and not lose my flexibility as I grow older.
What is your favourite place to visit?
We have a van and love to get in it and go to places so really no fav just love the van life and meeting new people.
What is your favourite food?
I would have to say I love salads and a good roast in the camp oven with friends.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Always be true to yourself and don’t be afraid to go out there and learn or try something new. Treat people as you like to be treated.
What is your favourite quote?
Don’t stress over something you have no control over.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
Since doing classes regularly I no longer have pain in my knees. I can actually kneel down now. I have more energy and drive and my biggest decision is “What class will I do today”.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I’m not sure how I found ePilates Online but I know I’m so happy I did. I like doing these classes in the comfort of my own home and space. I dedicate a half hour slot most mornings to look after myself.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Since being a part of CFC, I have greatly improved my over strength, flexibility, posture and freedom of movement in my lower body. Using the videos to supplement my semi private lessons has been a huge asset to recovery post surgeries and an injury. There is literally a video lesson for every body part and adaptations for everyone.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
Roll and Release – Roller session and Tight quad and Thigh release class
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
I love anything with the magic circle or on a reformer.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Love to have a good massage or sit back with a book and a cup of tea.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
When I wake up I say to myself, “ok, let’s go!” Being in a good mindset from the get go will set my day off right. Sometimes it’s hard, but I like to be as positive as possible. I also like to be active in one way or another everyday, can be as simple as a short walk.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love going on holidays! Anywhere different, But if we haven’t got a holiday planned, then I would say I love being out in the hinterland amongst the trees.
What is your favourite food?
Mexican or a good cheese board with all the extra fruits and nuts
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
We have one life! We need to look after ourselves and get out into the world to really experience as many opportunities as available. You really don’t know how privileged you are with health until something isn’t right. I think it’s important to share your love for others and let them know you love them.
What is your favourite quote?
Don’t really have a favourite quote.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
Definitely helps me with freedom of movement but also helps with calming my mind. When practicing the breath work in the yoga style classes I can literally feel my stresses melting away.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
The access at anytime of day is fantastic! I work shift work, and getting to a studio isn’t always easy. Plus this can be used in my own home.

What motivates me to stay fit is that it gives me abilities to do daily tasks easily without so much effort and strain. My tip would be to think about how good you feel after you accomplish each workout.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Knowing and understanding my body and it’s movement needs has been a huge benefit! I know even if I don’t turn on a video or put workout clothes on, that I can do movements I have learned from Emma, stretches, calf raises, twists, and yoga breathing, all depending on what I need that day as little movement snacks. Knowledge is power!
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
Favourite is tricky, I love the 21 day and 14 day challenge videos, most of those are between 10-20 minutes, perfect for busy Mom life or to stack them together. And I’ve done them quite a lot and am familiar with them. But I also love doing the wide variety of classes there are!
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
A favourite is tricky, I love the combination and challenge that comes with the movements together. But, my favourite has got to be the roll-up because it challenges and lengthens and it’s like a back massage as I go down one-vertebrate at a time.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Moving my body, especially breathing in the fresh air and hearing the birds.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
My children motivate me to stay fit and healthy. They are all very active and love the outdoors, it makes me feel good when I can keep up with them and help teach them other ways to move their bodies. My youngest is 2, and I am so grateful for the mobility and strength I have.
What is your favourite place to visit?
We joined English Heritage just over a year ago, I love visiting the Castles and Abbey’s and visiting history and incredible workmanship surrounded by breathtaking nature.
What is your favourite food?
BBQ Ribs and home style fries.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
To find joy in the moment. We will often be going through hard things, but looking for the joy helps me to find perspective.

How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
They help me be more present in my body and mind. I find I meditate best with mindful movement. I have learned so much from Emma that even when I don’t turn on a video, I can do mindful movement snacks when I need to.

I prefer to workout at home, in between the needs of my children and home-life. I find Emma’s queues and guidance helps too! She always seems to know when I need a reminder about posture or a correction, and she explains things really well.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Core strength.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
I often do the Ubud Stretch Class 1 (feels like you are there!) and the Yoga Hip Opening Sequence has been great for my SIJ issues on my left hip. There are too many good ones to choose just 1!
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Yoga – wide legged child pose. I just fall into this every morning when I roll out of bed – such a good stretch!
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Sand between the toes, breathing some ocean air & meditation.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
I just believe that health comes first. Otherwise we can’t do all the other things that bring us joy in life. My best tip is consistency and a little every day is better than nothing at all! Also don’t beat up yourself when you drop off on the consistency. Tomorrow is a new day!
What is your favourite place to visit?
Close to home it’s the beach and I also love to travel anywhere but Bali is a special place for me.
What is your favourite food?
Is coffee food (ha ha)…I love Japanese food!
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
The calmer the mind and the more present you are in life, the easier it is to navigate the challenges that are bound to come. Be present, mindful and grateful – and always with a smile 🙂
What is your favourite quote?
Oh I have many! This one is currently on my wall “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away”.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
It’s so important to stay strong, flexible and active. Pilates allows me to manage any niggles in the body and keep my core strong so that I can do yoga which helps my flexibility and balance, and calms my mind – and they both allow me keep being active in life!
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I like the flexibility of doing classes when it suits me during the day and also finding classes that I feel are right for my body depending on injury or mood. I don’t follow the monthly schedules but I do enjoy jumping into the challenges now and then and I also love Emma’s short classes on a particular issue (like hips) which I will watch over and over as they are great reminders of how to do the exercises correctly and nurture the injury. I also feel very lucky to now have Emma’s studio nearby so I get to train with her in person as well!

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Being more confident, happier in my own skin
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
Gentle stretch to wake up and/or feel better. I found this one day that I felt rubbish and it honestly just does what it says. I now start most of my workouts by doing this class first
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Clams, pigeon, anything barre
What’s your favourite act of self care?
A walk along the beachfront just listening to the waves
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
Emma motivates me! I exercise more now than I ever did in my 20’s and 30’s but I exercise now to tone up and feel good, not to lose weight or look good like I did when I was younger. My best tip is don’t be hard on yourself, do what makes you feel good on that day. That changes day to day which is why I love the range of classes to choose from in the Core Fit Club
What is your favourite place to visit?
Anywhere with a beach. If I can watch and listen to the waves I’m happy, even better in the sunshine! :)) I have relatives in Skye and love the remote wilderness up there, love Troon beach for a walk with the kids and the dog but have always wanted to visit Australia <3
What is your favourite food?
Chinese. That had to change in January 2020 when I was diagnosed with Coeliac disease but last night I had my first Chinese meal in 4 years and it was sooo delicious 🙂
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Don’t worry about what other people think. You just do you with a smile on your face 🙂

I feel fitter, less tired and generally better in myself for just moving

I work, I have two kids and a house to run. I love the range of classes, the short length of the classes and the fact I can do them whenever I choose. Emma is also a fantastic instructor. She just instinctively knows just what to say and the exact moment you need it. She also makes everyone feel included and like she’s right there with you. Emma gives such a personal experience. Feels like catching up with a friend on her little Facebook videos too <3

Increased shoulder mobility with reduced pain
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
It would involve props, and probably two of them; either Roll & Tone – Class 1 with the foam roller and hand weights, or Ring & Roller – Class 1 with the foam roller & magic circle.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Pilates which also has a little of the others.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
It’s a 3 way tie between, my weekly visit to the local markets to buy locally grown, seasonal produce so I can eat well all week. My daily 5km walk along the track which runs along a creek at the end of my street, or my frequent ePilates Core Fit Club classes to support my musculoskeletal and mental health.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
My love of a variety of foods keeps me motivated to keep walking & practicing Pilates, otherwise my body tells me through clothing that no longer fits or a preventable injury. They both impact my mental health, so I try my best to maintain the balance to prevent the cycle.
What is your favourite place to visit?
I love anywhere in Australia where I can get off the beaten track or have an authentic spiritual experience with indigenous connections.
What is your favourite food?
Sourdough bread, Eye Fillet steak, Lebanese Cucumber & Berries, Cheese and Sesame Oil – I think that’s 1 food from each group!
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Deaths and Marriages bring out the best and worst in people. I try and avoid both.

Everything happens for a reason you just don’t know why right now, and Time heals everything.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
Body awareness during classes or in day-to-day situations such as sitting, standing or walking
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I currently live in a regional area with limited access to quality Pilates classes. I had previously really enjoyed group classes in Sydney with Emma and it has been a great decision to become a member of the Core Fit Club. Online classes with Emma means I can do the class I want, when I feel like it, whether at home or on holiday. There’s hundreds of classes to pick from so there’s always something to match the amount of time I have, the body part I want to work or the props I want to use. Whilst I feel Emma can be watching through her clear instructions and cues, I know I am not being watched nor judged and can wear what I feel like. And there’s a great bunch of people always ready to provide support at the Facebook members group!

Walk in the woods, hot shower followed by a foot soak and a lovely skin care. Or any 15 min to myself without the kids (lol).
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
The benefits of exercise on my mental health. I always feel much better after a good class. Tip? maybe just: do what you enjoy the most, doesn’t matter if it’s a walk, Pilates, yoga, HIIT, running or swimming, just do what brings you the joy.
What is your favourite place to visit?
My original home – Czech Republic and natural reserve Bohemian Paradise where I’m from 🙂

Chicken fried rice from my hubby (or Czech gulas – pork tender meat with sauce and dumplings)!

I adjust how I sit and if I struggle with something I can literally put Emma on my phone or tablet and go that’s the class I need today.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
Easy for my lifestyle. I can work away and be able to do it anywhere in the world as long as I have WiFi, or as some classes I do more than others I remember what works when WiFi isn’t available. Plus classes are different lengths so can fit them in around things easily.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
My biggest achievement as a result of joining the Core Fit Club has been regaining my mobility from the ground up after injuring my lower spine.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
I enjoy Barre because of my background in Ballet and still believe that they are by far the hardest classes. I’ve also developed a new appreciation for stretching and yoga where I hadn’t been doing anywhere near enough before hand. I particularly like Yin for the deep stretch experience and the calming effect it has for me.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Clams! and all manner of clams. This particular exercise is where I first noticed progress and they continue to be my favourite challenge. I also love the props. They add variety and are a lot of fun to use. My loungeroom looks like an exercise studio now!
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Getting enough rest and sleep is imperitive for me. Also, having a clean diet and making my exercise routine a priority.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
Having degenerative issues in my spine motivates me to do the best I possibly can to maintain mobility and functional fitness. My best tip is to keep moving! Stretching is a must to remain flexible and core strength for balance and postur
What is your favourite place to visit?
My home gym of course! I’ve turned my loungeroom into my personal exercise space. There are no chairs to sit down anymore so if you visit..you have to work out with me 🙂
What is your favourite food?
Mexican all the way.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
You are responsible for your own life and choices. Consistency and persistence is the key to success.

If it is to be, it’s up to me.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
I am my mothers primary carer and doing Pilates, Yoga and Barre has helped me in so many way. I’m now strong enough to handle the heavy ligting involved with a wheelchair and other mobilty aids we have at home. In having a stronger core, my lower back is not as fatigued as it once was after a day of personal care duties. If I’ve had a stressful day, I roll out my mat once I get home and pop a yoga or stretch class on to help me relax.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I choose to work out at home for the convenience. The last thing I feel like doing after a long day is having to drive to a gym and working into the into the schedule of a gym class. And if feel like it, I can also wake up early and start my exercise class in my pajamas and slippers….and often do. I enjoy the accessibilty and freedom of working out at home and also the privacy.
I chose Emma because she most closely reflects my priority for functional fitness and core strength. I also appreciate the accessibilty Emma provides to her members. We are able to readily chat with her, ask questions, provide feedback and make requests. Although I haven’t met Emma, she has a really friendly and inclusive vibe. She also has a lovely and calming tone of voice which I really like.

What’s been your biggest benefit, outcome or achievement since joining the CFC?
Regular exercise, increased strength and fitness.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
I like Pilates the best, but also Barre.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
I think I like the glute exercises best, but maybe that’s because I can do them!
What’s your favourite act of self care?
I’ve recently started meditating at night, and this is helping my sleep.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
I think my best tip is to think about my grandchildren and wanting to stay fit and healthy to be around to enjoy & help them. I tell my children I intend to live to be 100 – and I want those years to be healthy, not a burden.
What is your favourite place to visit?
Too difficult to think of one place!!! I love being amongst trees, so anywhere there are BIG ones. Walking amongst the trees makes me feel good. But there again, I love the ocean, waves, rock pools, sand…. With family in the UK, I always love being there.
What is your favourite food?
Anything vegan!
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
What is your favourite quote?
Again, a tough question, a bit too easy to be trite…

It keeps me grounded, gives me routine. I feel better when I do it every day.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I used to go to the gym, and for a number of years did weekly yoga classes, which stopped when the teacher left!
I stopped going to the gym when Covid hit, and never really wanted to go back. I never found another teacher I liked until I found Emma online!
Being online I’m free to do it whenever and wherever I want, and I can choose the length of time spent. I also like the calendar and the challenges as it gives me direction, but I also have lots of favourites I go back to.

To feel the benefits on my body flexibility, less stiff lower back and mentally calmer. All this motivates me to stay fit, to eat a healthy diet (although I love sweets) and control my stress levels. Also, the CFC members sharing their experiences and support!

Anywhere calm, with beaches or mountains, with nature and animals around me.

I have hEDs and am prone to subluxations and damaged ligaments. So for me stabilising my shoulder after injury and gaining strength and balance on my ruptured ankle ligaments has been a great outcome. Having a strong core meant that during and after my pregnancy I maintained my strength and core stability and was lucky not to develop diastastis recti. I also followed Em’s core restore program to ease back into exercise after my c-section.

Barre challenges
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Definitely all things barre- the standing leg workout is always a winner and if you want to feel the burn – the Quarantine tight tushie class.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Massage
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
Maintenance of my spine to ward off pain and further injury. My best advice is to get into a routine of putting aside time to invest in exercise and healthy eating otherwise it’s too easy to put it off.
What is your favourite place to visit?
Back in my home country it would have to be Leopard Mountain in the hluhluwe umfoluzi game reserve and in England where I live now it would have to be Bath where I lived for 4 years.
What is your favourite food?
My mom’s lemon no bake cheese cake
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Home is in the heart and no matter where you are it’s always with you. Mole hills can be mountains and mountains can be mole hills it’s how you approach the climb.

It’s helped me to challenge my recovery with various injuries and have the courage to push myself as well as allow me to change my normal routines.

I chose it because I like the reminders to be aware of my posture and positioning, I like that I can do it privately at home and that the group on Facebook is so supportive.

Less time spent in pain, less time at the Physio and improved strength and posture.
What’s your favourite workout/class in the CFC?
Magic Garden & destination classes, I loved these during lockdowns, I felt like I could take a holiday without leaving my lounge room.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
I like them all, the variety is fantastic as some days I need a relaxing yoga other days I want the workout.
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Giving myself 10 -30 minutes in the day to be me, whether it be a coffee, read my book, something that lets me zone out and give my metal load a break and of course a Pilates class.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
Genetics & a history of sports injuries. I look at my parents and all my genetic injuries happened 20 years earlier than my mums! I came to the realisation that if I don’t start now to strengthen and learn how to manage my injuries when I am physically able to, it may get to a point where it is too late. I have learnt things about my sports injuries through Emma that years of Physio’s never explained to me.
What is your favourite place to visit?
Egypt – It was a holiday that my mum had dreamt about since she was a child. To be by her side watching her life dream come true was amazing.
What is your favourite food?
Mango’s and a good lamb roast.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
I can do it.
What is your favourite quote?
Patience & kindness – some things in life are out of our control and the only thing you can control is how you deal with it. You never know what others are going through .. be kind.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
I feel more steady, mentally & physically. Knowing I put the work in gives me confidence in my body and what I can do. If I have pain a twitch I now have a better understanding what to do to relieve it. The support and friendships I have gained being part of the CFC has enriched my life so much ..it is a wonderful group of supportive funny people.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
I live a busy life … I know I can fit a class in when it suits my schedule, the value for money too is so worth it.

It’s easier for me. I can get up, roll the mat out and start. I can choose from a 10 minute class to a class of an hour. I choose! Instead of driving to a class of an hour. It’s just more convenient, and also, there’s a great community with ePilates Online. I feel they’re my friends even though we’ve never met!

I really want to loose weight but I really I just feel good mentally when I work out. Working out and mediation are huge parts of my life and when I miss too many classes, I feel more stressed out and even depressed.
What is your favourite place to visit?
Tucson, AZ. My best friend lives there and it truly feels like home.
What is your favourite food?
Salmon. I’d eat it 3x a day if I could.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Boundaries are important. Whether its with family, friends or work. Meditation is vital for my health. Being positive and happy are the hardest things to maintain.
What is your favourite quote?
This is silly but I love The Goonies. So the quote is “Goonies Never say die.” I take this to mean, pick yourself up and keep going. Nothing can keep me down for long.

I hate the gym. Plus I work from home and it really stresses me out to go out more than a few times a week. Also, I live in Canada, so despite my doctors advice, walking is not always a viable option.

Maintenance for my lower back issues, I rarely have a flare up anymore and if I do and need to go to physio, I only need 1 or 2 visits unlike before CFC when I would need weeks of treatments.
What’s your favourite Pilates, Barre or Yoga exercise?
Ooh that’s tough, I’m not a huge yoga fan so I would have to go with barre and pilates exercises but no way I could pick just one favorite for either category!
What’s your favourite act of self care?
Pilates of course and a mini at home facials which I do twice a week.
What motivates you to stay fit and healthy? Can you give us your best tip?
Feeling good all around, pilates does this for sure. Best tip would be, to be active in the CFC FB group, definitely keeps me accountable every day and I love sharing and reading others journeys too.
What are your biggest lessons and learnings in life?
Take care of yourself, kind of like “put your own mask on first on the airplane” because if you aren’t taking care of yourself, you can’t take care of those around you. Also pick your battles, being a single parent, this is key in getting through it all.
What is your favourite quote?
Everything happens for a reason. I live by this and believe with all my heart that it’s true. Great way to help find the silver lining in unfortunate things in life.
How does Pilates, Yoga, Barre help you in your day to day life?
Keeps me active, keeps my back issues at bay, helps me feel good about myself and continue selfcare and selflove.
Why do you choose to do online workouts and or ePilates Online?
No excuses to not do a workout, doesn’t get easier than right at home. Plus Emma is an AMAZING instructor, she is super knowledgeable about what she teaches. She is fantastic at reminders for easy mistakes I might be making during a workout, like shoulders creeping up or keeping a tall body. Also you can’t beat the price!
I’m really excited to feature Meghan, as she’s been sharing her great achievements of movement with me each year, by showing me her 90% completed coloured calendar!
Meghan, fills in calander every day to keep track of her workouts. She said it keeps her extremely motivated, as she doesn’t like to see a section uncoloured!
